Our Story

We are a 128-acre farm located in Linn County, Kansas, about an hour south of Kansas City. We nestle up to the Kansas/Missouri state line. Our sunsets are world class, and  our woods, pastures and ponds are home to a vast array of wildlife as well as our livestock and produce.

We raise a variety of animals, including purebred Nubian and hybrid cross goats for kids and milk; Boer cross goats for meat; Jacob's Sheep for lambs and fleece;  rabbits for pets, meat and pelts; Large Black Hogs for meat; chickens for meat and eggs; quail for meat and eggs; ducks for meat and eggs; purebred Scottish Highland cattle, purebred cattle, and Highland/Shorthorn crosses for meat; and horses just because we like them. Oh, and we have a couple of lovely llamas, as well as a passel of working dogs and cats.

We offer rabbit, chicken and quail meat for sale, as well as some old-fashioned canned goods, vegetables in season, and luscious soap made from our goats' milk, labeled with which goat provided the milk.

Quality Comes From Caring

Humane

We raise our animals humanely, from birth to processing. We do not treat with any antibiotics unless an animal is sick, at which time they are pulled from the food chain in order to get well.

Healthy

Our meat chickens are raised on pasture, supplemented with feed. Our quail receive bagged feed. And our rabbits are fed specialized feed made primarily of hay and supplemented with orchard grass and organic greens. We are registered with the FDA, who does our inspections.

Happy

We feel it is important to raise our animals in as stress-free environment as possible, enabling them to spend their time eating, catching bugs (birds) and playing with and chewing on toys (rabbits). That's why we allow our chickens to free range.
